The theatre stairs 

The axis of the city gives the museum its form. to orientate the museum to the river, the front part is extended and with a shift in direction. That way also a bigger entrance is possible. The two levels are connected through the stairs. at the end of the stairs a park is created, the existing street is removed. That way a new, high quality public space is created. 

The spiral stairs are made out of one material - all white steel so it is a fluently sculpture as the heart of the museum. 

The skylight is covered with copper sheet. This way the brick color from the existing museum ingres is repeated in the new museum extension. The big skylight attracts attention and is a eye-catcer. 

The perforated facade is only in the higher level where the exhibition room is located. That way the special function behind the facade is also visible from the outside.
